When does on season begin?
On season begins April 1st of every year.
Does pricing change during on season?
Yes, prices raise by a few dollars for certain ammenities between on and off season.
Do you have any other social media where I can follow news and updates?
Yes! We have Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and a YouTube channel! Our username for Twitter and Instagram is @lake_piru, Snapchat is lakepiru, and Facebook/YouTube is just Lake Piru. Links are also included on our "About Us" page and at the bottom of every screen!
Do you have a general store?
Yes! We have a store located inside the park by the launch ramp and picnic area. Some of the items we sell include beverages, ice cream, towels, Lake Piru merchandise, snacks, bait and tackle and toiletries. Come check it out, we have lots to offer!
How many people can be in one campsite?
6 people can be in the site for no extra charge.
What kind of boat inspections should I expect?
We currently do an exit inspection, no entrance inspection. It is a quick check for water on the vessel. After, there is a 10 day quarantine from any lake or body of water that does NOT have mussles. If you return to us within the 10 days, you may go back on the lake, but your 10 days will restart. If you would like more details on this process, please call our front desk. Are dogs and cats allowed?
Yes! You are more than welcome to bring your furry friends as long as they stay on a leash. We also allow your furry family members to join you on your boat! Although, you are not allowed to leave your animals unattended in your trailer, RV, or tent; please treat them as you would your family :)
Can I reserve a boat in advance?
Yes you can reserve a boat online. Boat reservations must be made 2 weeks in advacne. We do have walk-in boat rentals as well.
Can I keep my boat in the water over 24 hours?
No, we don't sell wetslips.
Can I reserve a specific campsite?
What are your hours?
Our hours are currently 7AM - 7PM. *subject to change*

Do you allow alcohol on the premises?
Yes! We have ragners and camp hosts who regularly patrol the park in order to keep everyone safe.
Can I bring my own boat on the water?
Yes you can, with reasonable size and speed.
Can I bring my own jet skis?
Yes, we allow one and two stroke jet skis.
What is the water temp?
The water tempurature ranges from season to season, but it is at an average of about 65º.
What does each campsite include?
There is a picnic table and fire pit/grill top in each campsite.
What is there to do with my kids?
We have a day use area that includes a large grassy area, playground, dog park, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a 9-hole disc golf course. We also rent kayaks and paddlebords for your enojyment!

Is there access to my campsite after or before open and close hours?
Yes, there is still access to the campground before and after hours.
Are the campsites shaded?
During certain times of the day, all of the campsites will experience some type of shade, some more than others.
Do you have wifi or cell service?
We unfortunately do not sell wifi at the moment and we only have an AT&T tower, if you need to make a call, visit our front office and they will let you use their landline :)
When is check-in and check-out time?
You can check in any time after 2pm and check out any time before 12pm noon!
What if I want to renew a campsite that i'm already at?
If you'd like to stay longer at a campsite that you are already at, renewal time is from 7am to 10 am at our front desk :)
Is there a quiet time?
Yes, quiet time is from 10pm to 8am every day. You may still hang out at your campsite with friends and family past 10 as long as there is no disruption to other campers!
Do you allow golf carts and motorized bikes and scooters?
No, we do not allow you to bring any type of motorized transportation other than your own personal vehicle as they are safety hazards.
How much are boat rentals?
Boat rental pricing depends on how many hours you rent and what kind of boat you decide to rent. We currently rent out pontoons that hold 8 people, v-hulls that hold 4 people. You are more than welcome to bring your furry friends on board as well!
How much are kayaks and paddleboards?
Kayaks and paddleboard rental pricing depends on how many hour you decide to rent.
How much is a pass for the day?
A pass for the day (per vehicle) varies between on and off season. For on season, it is $13, and for off seaon, it is $10. This will allow entry from open to close. (Hours listed on our "Contact us" page)
How much is each campsite?
Each campsite is paid for nightly and varries between off and on season. We currently sell tent spots, electric, full hook up, and group campsites (info for group campsites are on our "pricing" page). Each site holds 8 people max and 2 vehicles max.
Do I have to pay for vehicles that come into my campsite?
Yes, the first vehicle is free, but starting with the 2nd, it is $12 per vehicle during off season and $14 per vehicle during on season.
Is there a reservation fee?
Yes, to make a reservation there is an $8, non-refundable fee.
